Friends of Kestle Barton bonfire meal

10 August 2024

Kestle Barton is funded mainly by letting the houses on our site. This year we have received very welcome modest funding from Cornwall Community Foundation’s Goonhilly Wind Farm fund, from Cornwall Councillor Guy Forman’s Community Chest and from Grade Ruan Parish Council. We also work hard to grow apples, chestnuts and walnuts, selling our apple juice and looking for markets for our nuts. But holiday bookings are down while running costs are up and it is becoming increasingly difficult to produce high quality arts events on our income.

Looking for support, we hope to form a group of ‘Friends of Kestle Barton’. Our first gathering is on August 10 when we will make a bonfire in the orchard and serve a meal while watching the stars. It might rain or be cloudy – we will probably carry on regardless. We’d love you to join us. We are selling tickets for £40 each. If this is beyond your means we’d be very happy to discuss possible alternative contributions to the evening, or to our organisation.

So, please come to show your support. Thank you.

£40 ticket per person includes meal, option to camp and invitation to further Friends gatherings this season.
