Celebrating International Dawn Chorus Day
Invitation:
An evening of activity centred around live streaming the dawn chorus via Resonance FM in London as the world wakes up on International Dawn Chorus Day. Hundreds of globally dispersed live microphones, including one at Kestle Barton and one at Falmouth’s Woodlane Campus will be blended together to broadcast a 24-hour long stream of the dawn chorus in real time as the world turns.
The studio at Kestle will host a permanent live feed of the stream via Resonance, a reading room, and a listening station where audience can choose which livestream to listen to in the space and document these moments on the wall.

Schedule:
Saturday
Sunrise: 5:28am. Live stream from London starts in Kestle Barton Studio, with information and links to interact with from 10:30am.
3pm: Orchard open to campers for pre-booked camping.
6pm: Welcoming talk by Dr. Bram Thomas Arnold at Dome listening place, in the meadow.
7pm: Food gathering at the Encampment Supreme Pavilion, in the Orchard.
8pm: Hum Choir live performance
9pm: The Worm live gig (subject to weather)
Sunday AM
Geodesic Bell will be rung at each of the following times:
2:48am: Astronomical Twilight.
3:54am: Nautical Twilight.
4:45am: Civil Twilight.
5:24am: Sunrise
6am:Birdsong walk with local guide.
8am: Pastries, coffee and come down, at the Tea Room in the garden.
Note: The event runs regardless of the weather, no refunds are available due to rain. In the event of rain the event is subject to schedule changes.
